Georgia Yee is your next AMS VP academic and university affairs (VPAUA).
With experience from residence life, Yee has defeated Harresh Thayakaanthan, Zoe McDaniel and Reed Garvin in the VPAUA special election held after all candidates dropped out of the original race.
“I’m just overwhelmed right now,” she said. “I’m so happy. I’m so honoured that UBC students chose me to represent them.”
After running on a platform of learning material accessibility, university affordability and Indigenous consultation, Yee said she was excited to get to work.
“I’m going to call my mom,” she said.
