Eshana Bhangu is your next AMS VP academic and university affairs (VPAUA).
Bhangu was in a two-way race with the current Associate VP Academic Shivani Mehta. The VPAUA race was the only contested AMS executive race this year.
Bhangu also won re-election for the UBC Vancouver Senate.
“I have no words, I’m just beyond the moon. I think I’m on the verge of tears,” said Bhangu.
She ran on a platform focusing on affordability, the safe return to campus and remote invigilation advocacy.
“I’m gonna have some dessert and get back to work,” said Bhangu.
